ABOUT US:
The story of this great association started with the participation of some Nigerian agents at ICEF Workshops hosted at different countries like Berlin in Germany, Canada, Miami in USA etc.
At every hosting of this events agents from Nigeria out-numbered agents from othercountries of the world. Based on Nigeria’s representation, an ICEF executive advised the Nigerians at one of the events to form association so as to protect our interest and to make us a formidable group to be reckon with not only in Nigeria but also in Africa with reference to sourcing of international students and placing them in reputable institutions of learning in oversea countries and to act as a check on the activities of Recruitment Agencies in Nigeria.
The responsibility was given to Dr. Felix Adedayo of Fab Consulting and one other agent who backed out in 2012. At second event following the subsequent year, we were reminded at Germany event in 2013 of the need to have this umbrella body to protect the image of education recruitment in Nigeria, after the event all the Nigerian participants had a meeting at Crowne Plaza Berlin City Hotel, due to disagreement on mode of operation and the need for everybody present at the meeting to be involved instead of going by a name that has been initially registered by someone that majority of us cannot account on how it started, the meeting ended in a dead-lock without meaningful achievement.
So at the Workshop in Dubai, 2014 we were faced with this familiar issue again, that was how few of us agreed that this association will have to come to limelight. On return from Dubai to Nigeria, Chika summoned courage to speak with Tony Ikogwe and Felix Adedayo before calling others; we agreed that we to start. Chika send out invitation to all that was at Berlin and Dubai event, as well as other known agents and at the inaugural meeting on 29th of November 2014 hosted at the office of Chika S. Eboh in Lagos, the following were in attendance:
